Entries will be judged by a team of distinguished professionals from the graphic arts and print community. These judges come from around the country, as well as internationally, and have been chosen for their extensive knowledge of the printing process.
Judging will be based on a number of criteria, when determining winners. Only those pieces exhibiting technical superiority are considered. They will also eliminate from contention any piece with obvious flaws.
Some of the print characteristics considered by the judges include:
- Even application of colour
- Degree of difficulty
- And the many variables that go into producing the final product
The judges may also consider the overall look and design that makes it an effective and graphically appealing piece.
Please note that the judges may choose not to award a category in The GAPP Awards when the entries in that particular category do not meet their criteria for excellence.
They also reserve the right to move an entry if they consider that it has been incorrectly entered into a specific category. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
